Hi David, Well rather than buying new you could have a swap shop, so if you need a saucepan take in a bag of clothes. I do this with my friends all the time especially with the clothes, we have an evening where we all gather round and pass the bags around to see if any of our unwanted items are of any use to anyone else and anything not taken is then taken to a local charity shop for them to sell. We have a water saver shower head and a toilet with the small flush and the big flush. Since we are on that subject, I have found a marvelous toilet roll made by the Australian Rainforest Foundation. It's made of recycled office paper and is amazingly nice and soft. I'm sure there would be something similar in your country.

We have also installed the new energy saving light bulbs.

I only use products that are earth friendly, biodegradable and non animal tested.
We don't use any spray cans and never ever use any insect sprays or insecticides for the garden. They do immeasurable harm.

Try not to do the clothes washing every day. Try to only use the machine every other day or even less.

We have some acres of land. We have allowed it to grow back into a natural state for the wildlife and birds to have as some sort of a sanctuary. When we came here there wasn't a single tree on the property. So many people are really trying and so many people sadly are NOT.
