What's your favorite memory from going to the beach?

Some people like to just lay out and soak up the sun. Others like sports of various types. I like to run into the ocean and leap over the surf, then play in the surf with my kids, body surfing and playing ball. What is your favorite "at the beach" memory?

After a hard's day of work, before I settle down to Super or watching TV, I love driving to the beach, which is only 8 minutes away. Kicking off my shoes, feeling the warm sand under my feet, hearing the sounds of the ocean, walking hand in hand with my fiance. This is the perfect time to discuss the day's frustrations and talk about our dreams and goals. Before we know it we are rewarded with the most beautiful South African sunset. A combination of colours reflecting on the water. We are both artists and this stunning experience motivates us to create from our souls.

My favorite memory of going to the beach is listening to the sound of the waves washing up on the beach, while lifting sand to fall through my fingers.
It is there that I began to slow my breathing, before engaging in a nice short nap in the warmth of the sun.
I wake feeling nice and warm and rested.
It isn't often that I fall asleep at the beach but When I have it was the most relaxing experience I have had.
I look forward to more of those experiences.
I am not into swimming when I go to the beach. I prefer to swim in fresh water rather than the salt water of the ocean and I prefer the hot sun to the coolness of the water.

Sounds very relaxing. If the nap went anything past "short" I'd most likely wake feeling a painful sunburn rather than warm and rested! Thanks for the comment.

Lazing at the beach under the shade of a palm tree/umbrella, with a book and drinking ice-cold pepsi!

Hello TheCasualReporter! I have many good memories from the beach. One of those is my wedding day. How could I forget my wedding? After the wedding ceremony, we had our reception at the beach.
