Illness

a lot of nasty stuff has been going around here in my area too. i have also been fairly fortunate that i havent gotten sick too much yet (yet being the operative word in the sentance!) but i did get a flu shot in the fall, but i am not sure if that helps any or not?

I personally, have fought off the flu already twice this season. When I start to feel it coming on, I reach for Airborne. I am sure you have heard of it. I can say it really works well, I was amazed.

When I tried it, however, I actually bought a store brand of it, I didn't buy the original, I saved about $7.00 doing it that way.

On the side of ear infections, I had one about 10 years ago, I know what you mean about feeling for the little ones, they aren't comfortable at all. If I have a head cold and I feel pressure near or around my ears, I reach for the hair dryer. I sit for about 5-10 minutes blowing warm air into my ears, it seems to help calm things down a bit. Then I grab a warm compress for the back of my neck and for my nose. The moisture helps to loosen up the mucus and gets it to drain. This will help you keep from building up bacteria in your sinus cavities, which can cause an ear infection.
