What is your favorite openning for white? For black?

Queen pawn opening, continuing into the Queen's Gambit is a really solid platform to start with. However, it has the downside of delaying the development of all the peices rapidly, which is the case with King's Pawn opening.

While playing black, Sicilian is a good response for king's pawn opening but then you can fall into the morra smith gambit, which is a really dangerous position to be in.Thus, if you start with the Sicilian, make sure you complete the continuation, instead of falling into a trap by taking a free pawn and then losing a piece.

I hate all gambits!!! some people prefer gambits because they are deadly, however there are simple tactics and strategies to get around the dangers of a gambit. Gambits are easily countered and i never recommend gambits to anyone. Gambits are supposed to be a trap for your opponent but any experienced player can easily show how it's putting yourself in a trap by giving up one pawn!
Sicilian! I play sicilian and have never played anything except the french. I love the sicilian and you should play sicilian,however sicilian have many variations in it. We all no that a fianchettoed bishop is deadly, but in sicilian, wen you fianchetto your bishop,you go into the dragon variation. The dragon variation in no way a good variation. I never play dragon because simple sacrifices can lead to mate in that variation. Sicilian games also have a lot of tactics in them and doesn't make the game boring. Sicilian works for any color though, black or white can be victorious depending on the players' experience. The most active sicilian games occur when black 0-0 and white 0-0-0. Those were just my opinions now to answer your question.....
My favorite opening for black and white respectively are sicilian and english....You might notice that they're basically the same, but for the record i don't play english i play italian
