Can you let her sleep with you? She won't scream and you'll both get a good nights sleep. Otherwise try the baby sleep book by Dr Sears. He also recommends sleeping with baby but has other ideas if it is not for you. Don't be afraid of nursing or rocking to sleep either and then transferring them slowly. Put her head down last so it doesn't startle her.

buy a cosleeper, its like a playpen with a bed area on top and it slides right next to your bed.

You might want to try having a bassinet right beside the bed and you can talk to her and touch her, my daughter never slept in her crib either. She slept in her car seat believe it or not until she was eight months old.

My son is 11 months and wont even think about sleeping in his crib! The only time he will go in his crib is to play, but he will never fall asleep in it. And I wont let him cry it out, I couldn't do that, he is my Chunky Monkey! So as of now, he sleeps with us and so does my daughter, she is 4 yrs! LOL! I can't help it, they want to be with me at all times and if I have to, I will go to college with them. LOL!

But if you do get any ideas on how to get your kids to sleep in their own bed, please let me know!

My son would not sleep unless I was holding him or if he was sleeping beside me up until about a month ago. Now he gets really fussy when he is tired and I have to put him down to sleep by himself before he will stop crying. Just hang in there and it will get better.

Well your bub should be around six months old now, hows she doing? Sleeping in her cot? Sleeping the night through. My son is seven months old, and though we sometimes have our off nights, he generally sleeps through the night and has been in his cot for quite awhile. He never did like to sleep with us, and he outgrew his bassinet pretty quickly. Long boy. Anyway, if she isnt, perhaps its time to start control crying, or something of the sort. Have you spoken to your health nurse? What advice did they offer you?

What I did was take my travel crib and put that next to me, and just did the cosleeping that way, my daughters did the same thing it was a nightmare, now my youngest is 10 months old and we have put her in her sisters room, she still will get up around 3 or 4 in AM, and only way to get her to not wake up her sister is to have her in our bed, whih I know is not good, but Like I said, baby steps....

I would try to start her that way and see what happens, sometimes I just rock my little one until she is so asleep that whatever movement occurs it does not bother her, then I slowly lay her down and keep my hand on her chest, after that once she is settled a bit (takes maybe a minute or two) I slowly lift my hand and then I leave the room.

sometimes they just want the comfort, also if you wrap your baby up in a blanket before putting her to sleep that will keep her warm because I know that sometimes going from a warm set of arms to a cold mattress can be something that may wake them up....And last trick is to put an item of clothing that you wore in the crib, and lay her on it, around it wherever she can smell it because that will make her think you are there with her. I know it is wierd but it can work.

My first baby was like that. I didn't know how much I missed her sleeping next to me until my second one came. He never wanted to be bothered. He ALWAYS slept in the crib and would cry if you came in to check on him. Now I am on baby number 3. I plan on spoiling her rotton because they just grow up to darn quick. I have a 15 year old, a 9 year old, and a 8 month old..lol. Life is short cuddle and love that baby. Do what you feel is right. They won't be that small forever.

I think more than anything she is scared when she wakes up alone by herself in the crib. I would put some favorite toys in the crib and have a musical mobile and let her play you will probably have to stay right there with her but after awhile she will see nothing going to happen to her in there and she might get used to it and you will have your bed again. My mom sleeps with my little 5 year old sister and if my mom gets up after she goes to sleep my sister will wake up because she moves around the bed and if she doesn't feel my mom she wakes up. My mom has tried getting different beds a regular twin, a car bed, a princess bed and in the end she always end up back in bed with my mom.

I really cant answer that because I let my son sleep with me every night. I already took down his crib. I do feel alot better when he is right beside me.
