Where do you make the most earnings with your crafts?

I have some special crafts I could make and sell but I don't know what the best way to go about it would be. I am not sure I want to deal with ebay or other websites such as that. Do you sell locally? Do you have sample pieces and take orders? Are you known for your craft and people come to you? Do you have your own crafting website where you take orders from? Just how do you do it? My crafts so far are mostly crocheted items.

I use an online store call Etsy. They only charge 20 cents for a month and then 3.5% of the cost of the item. So on a $20 item it onlt costs 90 cents to post and sell it. If you do nt want to deal with websites then you could advertose on craigslist...it's free. I know that our town has carnivals and you can have a booth (it costs money) but a lot of people like to get a booth and sell their crafts that way.

I never sell anything I make. I either give them as gifts, or I keep them for myself. I suppose I could make something selling them though, as I do different kinds of crafts. I think my favoite would be counted cross stitch, as I have lots of kits in my closet that I need to do. I have a tendency to start one and put it up for awhile, and then when something new comes along, I will give that one a whirl. I really do need to finish what I start, and I suppose I will one of these days. I am not really in any hurry to get them done I guess. Between doing things online and other things I have to do around the house, I just never get them worked on. I am planning on sewing quilts though, but it does take time to do them, but they do bring really good money, depending on the pattern and the colors used. Take care and happy mylotting.
