But I need performing arts credit to graduate. I am worse at acting (theater) and drawing (art) than I am at the trumpet (orchestra) and that is why I took it. But I am getting sick of it. I hate playing the trumpet because not only am I bad, but it is very boring. I never practice but I can still play well enough for class. What should I do? Should I drop Orchestra or just live with it?

Also I was in navy cadets as a young teen and I played trumpet. It's gotta be the easiest thing to play. With only 3 buttons I'm sure you will do fine just stick with it get the credit and never think about it again.

It is not easiest thing to play because it only has 3 buttons. You have to use your mouth to control the sound which is harder than just having keys for every note. People often assume this and I am surprised that someone who played trumpet thinks this also.

Art is not about drawing. It's about being creative, changing colors, making something nice. I had choices of music or art. I did the music thing and failed bad. So I took the art and passed with flying colors. I can't draw. I draw stick people. But I am very good at painting even if its just shapes and objects, not people or animals. Simple things can be GREAT art work.

I was giving drawing as an example of why I did not take art. But drawing is a part of art, not necessarily about drawing though. Happy mylotting!
