My hubcaps keep falling off my car!  email this discussion to a friend?

I have a mitsibishi Galant. It's one of the cars that have th snap on hub caps. I've had the car for several years and every single hubcap has fallen off from every wheel. I usually just go to the dealer and pay for a new one. But yesterday I noticed that the rear hubcap had came off after I got hoe from work. I'm staring to think I have the worst luck with my hubcaps. And with all the bills I've had to pay off I'm in no hurry to get spend $40 for a new one.

Many of my teamates from my softball team tell me to just steal one off someone's car. I'm not that kind of person, but with money being tight these days I've given it some thought. I usually don't like having one hubcap missing from my car. I feel that it takes away from the appearance when somehting is missing. But now I'm thinking about just ripping them all off. I just don't care anymore. What about you? Does anyone here go through this also? Are you quick to replace your hubcap when it falls off, or if someone steals it. Or is it not that important. I figure as long as my car is running that's all that matters right now.

It used to happen to me all the time too so I just took them all off and painted my rims black. I have a set of mags now, I was lucky enough to pick up another car (I pick up wrecks for money at the scrappers) that was the same model as mine and had an awesome set of mags onit - but that was pure luck. Maybe when you are more finacial I say get a set of mags for it, it's less stressing.

I thought about getting mags befor. But I live in Ny and don't come outside and see my car sittin on bricks. It's not a financial thing for me. I just finished paying a f#cking speeding ticket last week for $310. And I had some other bills to pay off. I'm just trying to save my money for something more important and neccesary right now. I had to upgrade my wardrobe a little bit because I got an office job before christmas. And after spending $200, I got hit with a speeding ticket afterwards. So right now I can care less about some stinking hubcaps. I never liked the look of driving around with one missing. But now I don't care. As long as my car is up and running that's all that matters. Who am I trying to impress anyway, the people standing at the bus stop? Lol. Plus I never really been into hooking up my car anyway, so I preety much put the idea of getting mags out of my head along time ago.

I had a Galant too. same problem. I used velcro in four three inch strips on each the wheel and the cap.

Never had trouble after that.

All my cars now have wheels and need no caps.

Nice to meet you stinge.

I think it's more a guy thing. My man can tell you what kind of tires, wheels, hubcaps are on any car going down the road. Me...I don't even notice them. Pop em all off and get some silver spray paint. Ha ah hahahaahahaaha.....you asked.....just saying.................

Silver spray paint isn't a bad idea. With all the money I"ve spent on replacing them stupid hubcaps it much cheaper to do it that way. Unless you and your husband drive the same type of car that I do. Then I would just pop up and steal the ones off your car. That would save me the money of buying spray paint..LOL.
