I want to spend time with him first before having children.. But I don't want to have children too late because I don't want a very large age gap between me and the kids. I guess I'll have three to five years with just my husband maybe, I guess that's enough for us to save up for the children.

I would rather spend time with my mate alone to begin with. Kids in the future is great but I think sometimes doing too much too fast causing alot of strain on relationship.

Hello n30wing! My husband and I decided to have children 5 years from now. It's just that we still want to treasure that we are alone together and that treasure our love alone. We also want to establish first our family especially financially before having a child. I know having children would deeply affect us if we will have a children immediately, but if God will really gave it to us than the time frame that we planned, we will accept the child wholeheartedly.
