What are the places of interest in Newcastle (UK)?

I have never been to Newcastle because I live in the south of England but I do support Newcastle United foorball team, strange but true and I have no idea what is the main attraction there except the Ange of the North, hope you will enjoy it there when you come over.

when it comes to places of interest in Newcastle you may think that the city's exports like tv shows, magazines etc all shed some light on what the city has to offer, but Newcastle is much more interesting than that.

Firstly there's the city's historic offerings, remnants of its rich past which still stand today. Within Newcastle itself you can go and explore Castle (Garth), the remains of the 'new castle' that gave the city its name.

The Keep has three floors for you to explore linked by a succession of staircases that take you to rooms such as the Gallery, King's Chambers, Queen's Chambers, Great Hall and dungeon.

This can be a VERY LONG post so ill keep it short. Other places of interest include Gateshead and the Angel of North, Hexam Abbey, Hadrian's Wall, Alnwick Castle and close to Newcastle are the towns of Banmburgh and Jarrow to name a few

Newcastle?? That should be a nice place for vacation.. hehe^_^ I have not been to europe at all and thus i cant really provide u with anything much u need to know.. BUt i all know is that, u should vist NEwcastle FC.. lol=D Enjoy the atmosphere there, and be embraced by the fans in Newcastle too.. hehe^_^ Hope u have fun there and enjoy yourself^_^

i dont have much idea about Uk.. as i have never been to that place as i am from India. but i have a friend out dere. he says me that newcastle is a very nice palce to be in.. and every charming and pleasant and it can be one of the choices for a holiday withb your loved ones.

What I suggest is that you come down, way down, further South!! LOL . Although, as you know, I live in the South West of England, I have never been to Newcastle, probably because it is so far away from me. I bet there are alot of people from Newcastle who have never been to my neck of the woods either. They are a really friendly bunch up there though so you will be in good hands as I am sure you are aware! I have been to Edinburgh though for a wedding and I thoght the city was very beautiful even though it comes with it's problems like any big city!! Hope you have a good trip and don't forget to send me a postcard!!
