Betrayed? Is it worth giving another chance?

Have you been betrayed by a family member, a friend, or your lover? How did they betray you? Did you already forgive them? What if they will ask for another chance? Will you trust them again after what they did to you?

I have been betrayed and there are times when I think it is worth giving the person another chance. A friend said some really rude things to me and harsh things just because he didn't approve of the guy I am dating and what he THOUGHT i did. He asked for forgiveness and I have forgiven him, but I don't think the friendship will be the same, but I do think it is worth it to give him another chance because he was a good friend before all this.

You are right, the friendship will never be the same again. Broken trust is like a crampled paper. No matter how much you try to smoothen it out, it will never be the same again.

I honestly don't think i can forgive my boyfriend/soon to be husband if he betrayed me because we both have been in the past. He understands how it feels and if he could put me through that pain while all the while knowing I don't think I can forgive that.

I think its worth giving another chance waiting and observing them for some period of time or if we give in so early they ll try to betray us more..
