1300 air plane bird collisions in a year

this is a scary number. never thought of it until the plane accident yesterday in NY. but this is a problem. i'm scared to fly to begin with and have only been once. now i think i'm going to be even more scared next time. do these accidents really make you concider flying again?

yea, i consider these freak accidents since it's something we normally see it in cartoons or something. but yea, even though there's a chance it may happen, it still doesn't make me second guess flying. i trust in the pilots that if a situation like this occur, they know how to handle it. im just glad that all of the passengers are okay, and i hope that this doesn't happen to anyone again.
