| iMac VS Mac Pro | | | | Okay, so I have the task of getting a new desktop for school. I a wanting to get something high end, I am going to be working in Game Art and Design, so that is a must. I am also wanting a Mac because it is my OS of choice. I can see the reasons for an iMac, cheaper is one of them but the Mac Pro gives you more and is easier to upgrade on your own, or at least it would be for me. It doesn't matter what the cost is in the end as I don't have to pay for it myself but I am just wondering on that. Can somebody see any pluses on getting an iMac over a Mac Pro besides the price of it all? | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | Now we all know that Mac Pro's are much more powerful AND expensive than iMacs. However, if you're just getting a new desktop for Game Art and Design, you'll want a decent processor, as well as a good amount of RAM. The most important are the RAM and graphics card. Go on http://www.apple.com to browse their selections, but never order from that place, or you'll be ripped off. Google for some alternatives. I would the iMAc with a configuration of 3.06 Ghz and 512 MB or graphics. The RAM for your ideal is best set at 4 GB, and hard drive depends on how much you'll be working with. Surely, Mac Pro's offer excellent performance, but an iMac is enough for your suited task. --Computer Expert | | | | | | | | | | New: Imac up to 57% less Find Imac deals at bargain prices: Compare offers and save up to 57%! www.Imac.news72.com | add comment | | | |
