What do you prefer - RED or WHITE WINE?  

I much prefer red wine to white wine. Actually I really like Italian wines. My favortites tend to be cheap wines though, lol.

I love Lambrusco. I also like a good Zinfendel and Chardonary. We have several wineryies and vinyards here in Southern Oregon that make delightful fruity wines, both white and red.

My initiation to wines was home made sweet red wines. Now , after tasting many different wines i must confess that i prefer medium bodied semi-dry red wine. I just cannot stand the high tannin in the so called great / expensive wines.

sparkling wine is cool in summers, but i do not prefer them with food.
I personally feel that new age wines of California are as good as the traditional wines of france & Italy.

I prefer red semi sweet or dry wine.First place would go to France, then Italy.I've tried a few sorts of Spanish wines, but they weren't as good as I expected.Cheese and glass of wine is something I could die for..

I like all sorts of wine and I like to try new kinds. My fav red is cabernet sauvignon and my fav white is pinot grigio. Lately I have really been into white zinfandels and blush wines. I have been trying lots of Canadian wine, particularly from British Columbia. I try to pick something different each time I go to the liqu*r store.

I prefer white wine, maybe because it's sweeter. Red wine tends to have a slightly tarty taste - I usually take merlot. I have also heard that wines from Chile and Argentina are very good; how about those from South Africa?

when i can get it i prefer white to red anyday like you said sweet is better but i have tried some dry and i like them too. red is just nasty sorry.

It depends on what I am eating. I like white and rose if I am having fish, and I use cheap white wines for cooking. I like young reds of cariñena, tempranillo sometimes with touches of merlot and not much sauvignon red. If it¡s a special occasion and we are having for instance roasted meat, then I prefer a more mature wine. For dessert some muscats are a good option. I normally choose wines by variety not from the place they come from though that is always considered. Living in Spain I have always a great variety of wines to choose and also a wide range of prices.

from my opinion i am saying you that which type of food you are serving me because white wine good with starter & red wine with main course & about your choice i a saing that the sweet wine taking with mainly dessert or starter i would like to prefer a white wine with less tennin and yes you are from which company?

I used to be big on whites and like most people I liked them somewhat on the sweeter side, but as time went on I grew to prefer reds. In old world wine regions the wine is meant to accompany food as opposed to it being consumed as a stand alone beverage at social gatherings or while reading a book or watching tv. As one's palate develops and as one discovers the thousands of varietals and vintages out there the preferences change. Now I like anything that tastes good.

I will have red or white. I do have a slight preference for white wine. Cheers!!
