Friends everybody is talking about Mr.Obama, and lot of people are expecting miracles from him. At the same time everybody has forgotten the out going President, Mr.George Bush. So many people have talked ill of him, and they made fun of him and generally portrait him as a Joker or a Villian, depending upon the writer. The unfortunate fact is Mr. George Bush Jr. is one of the best American President of all time. Just think after 9/11 has any terrorists act has been conducted in USA. He kept USA safe, because he smashed the Taliban in Afganistan and made Osama bin Laden to flee and hide in Pakistan. He has not only done a great service to USA, but also to the entire world, by smashing the Taliban. His only mistake was the invasion of Iraq. But who does not make mistakes. To err is human. Unfortunately all this was forgotten not only by the rest of the world, but also unfortunately in USA, the people there were also carried away by what was written, otherwise, we would have seen another Repubilcian president today. As far as I am concerned, Mr.Bush was one of the best friend of India, no other Ameerican President has done so much for our country, our so called Democratic friends like Carter or Clinton never helped us, and I feel the same thing is going to happen under Mr.Obama Finally on behalf of all my fellow Indians, I thank Mr.Bush for all he has done for India and I wish Mr.Bush a pleasant and long life in his retirment Years.

Ramesh, I respect your feelings for Mr G.W. Bush. But unlike you, I too do not admire him a lot. Whatever he has done, he did it just for America and not for anybody else (although it should not be seen as a bad thing, since he was American prez). Under his reign, America evolved as a true Bully, and like you said, invasion of Iraq was a perfect example of that. Also, America never showed its concern towards terrorism until 9/11 occured. Before that, America has always favoured a country like Pakistan which the world today knows as a Terrorist Production Unit. So, I would say, most of decisions taken by Bush Govt were only for USA's good, no matter how it affected the world. Obama is being welcomed all around the world, not because he is a better politician than Mr Bush, but because he has made history by being the first no-white man to rule world's most powerful country. And this fact has outshined all good that Mr Bush has done. Apart from this, it is the nature and rule of nature to give more attention to the new thing.

Amit I agree with you on all the points, but just think,Bush was the man who took us out of the nuclear aparathied regime, no American President has done so much for India. Our so called friend Bill Clinton imposed sanctions on us when we blasted a nuclear device. Amit, natrually any man will take actions to save his country only, in that way Bush has also done the same thing.

See, all those sanctions were imposed on India because the world today is afraid of India emerging as a super power. It also meant that possession of a nuclear bomb indeed will make India more powerful. The US president at that time, Mr Clinton did exactly what any US president would have done. Now today when the world has started accepting India as an emerging power, America did exactly what every other country would like to do, accept the fact and hence to show the world that they favour us, they removed all the bans. It is also due to fact that US wants to show China (the fastest emerging super power) its favour for India so that India and China may not unite and pose any danger to the Bully US. So, as per me, Mr Bush didn't do anything special, he did exactly what any other US leader in charge would have done at the moment. I admire Mr Bush for his stand against Taliban & Al-Qaeda, teaching a lesson to those who tried to harm US, and I think this is what Indian leaders should look into Mr bush for. Anyways, your points are pretty strong, I just beg to differ a bit!
