How to place a pop under/up ad in blog?  | |  I have a blog which includes many external download link.It has a good traffic.Now I want that when a visitor clicks any of my download links a pop under/up ad will open.And only one pop under/up per visitor.how can I do that?suggest me some good advertising media that can do it.

| | | | | | 1.  mariposaman (2476) | 11 months ago |  Are you sure you want to place a popup ad on your website. These things are the most reviled thing on the internet and every browser now has a popup blocker and if they do not they are thinking about it.
However having said that if you insist on shooting yourself in the foot you have to code the page so that a visitor will get a popup as you want. Any html tutorial should tell you how to do this. I think you might have to use javascript. Try this one

| | | 2. WebMann (2768) | 11 months ago |  Well I would say that's not the best move. I have been online since the 90s and haven't met a single person that likes pop ups or pop unders. When I get hit with one I leave the site and if I get hit with one on my way out of the site. I remember never to bother going back. They are most annoying.
Instead just create compelling content that will keep your readers on you blogs. Put the ad you want to display in your sidebar instead.
Of course that's just my personal opinion. Pop ups suck:)

In case you want to earn money through advertising without irritating the viewers use Google Adsense.
As for the pop-up and pop-under windows you can use the following JavaScript code snippet:
javascript: window.open("http://www.yahoo.com/index.html","Window1","menubar=no,width=430,height=360,toolbar=no");
This particular code will popup a window displaying yahoo.com homepage.
