What is your favorite bean?  

Wow, you know I never thought of roasting my own beans at home. Is it very dificult? Is there a lot of expensive equipment to buy?

There are numerous different ways to roast, some of which are even stove top methods, which was what I used initially. Problem with that is the amount of smoke, especially if you like dark roasts. So, stove top roasting didn't last very long. I then got a small roaster that would roast about 1/4 pound of green coffee beans at a time. I liked it so well, I bought a much more expensive drum roaster that will roast a full pound at a time and has several roast profiles to choose from. Unfortunately, the motor went out in it. A friend made me a barrel that would work in my rotisserie oven and I have been using that recently. It's more work using it, since it doesn't have any profiles, but it works well as long as I keep an eye on it. The small roaster was a Fresh Roast+, which I found for about $70.00, and it did work well. Although it didn't have profiles, you can select how dark you want to roast your beans. I would suggest this as a good way to get started. Do a Google search for home coffee roasters and check out what is available and who has the lowest current prices. sweetmarias.com has a real good review of several types of roasters, although their prices tend to be a bit on the higher side.

Wow, so does it really make a big difference? Does it really make better coffe to roast it yourself?

Mr Bean? hmmmmm..... I've not watched mr Bean. I don't know where to find that. I've also not seen Liar Liar although people have told me that its a very good movie. What about Yes Man? Have you seen that one?

hmmmmm..... I've always been %100 Arabica. I'll look into that Robusta thing.
