OK... This is rediculous now! I am %100 done eating any kind of peanut butter,These recalls have been going on for months now. If you do not know about the peanut butter recalls, check the FDA website,or 10tv.com Heres my question for you all- Has anyone here eaten REESES PEANUT BUTTER CUPS (MADE BY HERSHEY) THIS WEEK??
Hershey says that all of their products are safe, but I am not too sure if they are being Honest with people. So, If any of you have eaten peanut butter cups this week, let me know... Myself and my 2 year old daughter ate a couple on Jan.21st, not even remembering the recall crap. If my 2 year old gets sick... ITS WAR! Thats all i've gotta say.... Looking forward to hearing from you all

xoxo - Everyone stay safe!

The contaminated peanut butter came from the Peanut Corporation of America. The recall is specific for 21 lots produced in their Blakely, GA plant. Brand names affected by the recall are King Nut and Parnell's Pride, which are normally packaged for institutional use. Kellogg has issued a recall for some of their products that were produced using PCA products, even though they were not among the 21 affected lots. The Kellogg products recalled are under the Kellogg name and also Keebler and Austin names. Hershey does not use peanut butter manufactured by PCA, so you and your daughter should have nothing to worry about. The current recall is based on salmonella bacteria found in an open peanut butter container found in a MN long-care facility, last September. 30 other people in MN also became sick with the same strain of salmonella bacteria. Since last September, 400 people in 43 states have been diagnosed with the same strain. At this point the CDC is "investigating a possible link between the peanut butter salmonella and the national outbreak."

Yikes! I haven't heard anything at all about a peanut butter recall. It's not a problem for me though since I'm allergic to peanuts. I haven't eaten anything at all with even the slightest trace of peanut butter in years, yet alone in the past week. But any type of food recall is scary! We trust that food made available for us is safe. It's very frightening when there's a chance it might not be!

I have but I don't think that is much help. They were left overs from Halloween. But I just got back from the grocery store and didn't see any empty spots on the shelves. There were still Reese's on the shelves, in the Valentine's aisle. And there were Ghiradelli peanut butter filled chocolates there too. So, near as I could tell nothing has been pulled. Which of course makes a person wonder.... if they are recalling the PB and they aren't pulling the candies off the shelves... what's the deal?
