I have one as well. thecrazydreamer.tumblr.com I think if you want to get known, it's a good start, I have about 400 followers now and that's a lot of people that could see your art. But if you would really want to be seen as an artist, try deviantart.com, and you could even get commissions for selling your work, and people would even be willing to hire you.

I personally think that somehow Tumblr is being just a "I like this so I'm gonna repost it in my site" now but I also noticed that you'll get more attention there. How about putting up more pictures there? Little by little you'll get a loyal reposter, and soon a follower interested in what your tumblelogs offer. Don't delete your Tumblr account. Just wait. ;)
