the rules are fairly simple but playing the game well is complicated. There are tons of places online that have the rules. There are different poker variations, but hold'em is the most popular at the moment. Just do a search in google for poker rules. There are also loads of books on the subject. I hope that helps

sorry about the duplicate comment, I tried to submit and nothing came up so I went back and did it again as I thought it hadn't worked

Well, the true is "Poker" is a grouping name of several card games. The most popular poker games (I beleive) are:




- Texas Hold'em (know as Texas Hold'em poker)
- Stud (with 5 card or 7 card)
- Draw poker (with 5 card)
- Draw LowBall
- Razz
- High Low (poker, not sure in the precise name)

Each of these games are poker games, the different is in the number of cards you get
at start, how the other cards are dealt - for example in Texas Hold'em there are "Community" card what you can use -,how many of your card are hidden, the betting structure - for example in Texas Holdem there are 4 betting rounds -, how the bets are changing in each round...etc.

Each of them has it's own rules.

I also suggest to use Google to find the rules for example If you wanna know
the rules of "Texas Hold'em poker" just type in:

rules texas hold'em

to the Google search box.
