|  I have McAfee SiteAdvisor installed in my system. The first time I view myLot, I noticed that my SiteAdvisor's color have change to yellow (warning indicator). When I view the site report, here is what McAfee's report."In our tests, we found downloads on this site that some people may consider adware, spyware, or other potentially unwanted programs".
So what are you guys can say about this? If you were a newbie and saw this report, what would you do?

| |  I think it is certain ads, as well. I have had my computer shut down IE due to "buffer overload" on this computer (McAfee), and the OneStop virus scan on the other computer shut down IE, and find a virus. This has happened at times when the only thing I had open is myLot, although I had it happen once with just Facebook open as well (not surprising, since ads rotate through both of them). Unfortunately, it happens so quick in both cases, I don't know WHICH ad it is doing it so that I can report it. I don't think it is the admin's fault, and I don't want to bother them until I can tell them for sure which ad to look for.

| |  I wanted to add something I never download toolbars of any sort online. They are considered spyware. At least to me they are, I try to be very careful when it comes to downloading anything onto my computer. I hope this helps!

The only thing that I will open on Mylot is links to news articles. I don't open the advertising. I would say that if McAfee has a warning indicator for Mylot, then just be careful on what you do open. McAfee is one of the best prorams that you can get.

I know that there are still persons who falls for those advertising links. This may just become a form of warning for those people. Even if myLot is a legit paying site, this site is still not that secured. | | | |
