Put me out of my misery! |

Is there something you do almost every day, without a single problem, then all of a sudden, BAM. The fool thing won't work, won't print, won't do what it's supposed to do?
We use a woodstove. I've learned how to start a fire. I can do it everyday. No problem. I know how to stack the wood, small to large, so it will burn. I can get the hugest logs to burn. Today, there is a log inside that stove that refuses to burn. I have restuffed other logs under it, they all go poof. But not that stinking, unmentionable, unprintable, confounded LOG!! It's not even a full log. The silly thing is a fourth. But no, it won't burn. I'm gonna scream!!! I can't even pull it out and throw it away. It's got the tiniest little fire on the opposite end... Has had it since 6 am this morning. Nothing else. AAARRGH!!

snowcat46 (1103) | 11 months ago | I've burnt wood from that same tree. I think this one just has it in for me. It just won't go! I'm gonna wait till it's completely out (may even help it with water!), then throw that bugger out. Stubborn thing!

snowcat46 (1103) | 11 months ago | I wish! (said in a near wail) I've burnt other wood from this tree and didn't have this problem. I'm extremely sure someone out there is laughing at me!! (At least this is good for something!) I do try to please... (I wonder if he has any kind of flamethrower in the garage? Not that he'd let me use it. Won't let me touch hammers either. I tend to get, shall we say, destructive?):)

snowcat46 (1103) | 11 months ago | I had a nice roaring fire when my hubby came home. The log underneath that one and the one on top of it were burning nicely. But still not that horrid thing!! He adjusted a few things so the fire died out. He'd brought home his fireproof gloves he'd bought for work and took it out. It was completely black, but hadn't burned. He tried to split it some more. No luck. He called it ironwood!! It can't be, cause all the logs around it burned just fine. But it got tossed into the snow and the other logs started up again just fine. Maybe I'll send that one with my nephew when he comes cutting wood again. Let the younger generation fight with it!
