Can you get along with your partners children (child)?

Have you got a relationship, where your partner has a young child?
Meanwhile you have grown up children, and are fully out of touch with young children.
Or do you have a partner that has a child, and you don't have children.
How do you get along with that?
How do you spend time with them?
When they complain that they are bored, what do you do?
Thanks.

I am an only child as well.
But in the mean time I have been married and have two children, got divorced ect.
Your case sounds familiar there. I too have had times when I did not get along with my Mom.
As years went by, I ended up more with my Mom than my Dad.
It is very normal.
If you would have a brother or sister, you would have had that with them.
Take care.
