I am allergic to dogs that is why I have a miniature Schnauzer. He is one of the many hypo allergenic dog breeds. He doesn't shed and he has hair instead of fur. There are other breeds out there that are also hypo allergenic and most are in the terrier group. Do you have an hyper allergenic dog and can you name a few others?

It's actually not dog hair or fur that people are allergic to. It is the dander. "Hypo allergenic" breeds like your dog don't produce as much dander as other breeds of dogs. This could be because of they have hair instead of fur. I'm not sure exactly why, just that they don't produce as much dander. Most people with pet allergies aren't affected by the small amount of dander they do produce. However, a few people who have extremely sensitive allergies are still affected by these "hypo allergenic" dogs. It's not very common, but there are some people out there that are just that allergic.
I've heard that yorkshire terriers are also hypo allergenic. I've also heard that many "designer breeds" or "hybrids" like yorkiepoos (yorkshire terrier and poodle mixes) and labradoodles (labrador retriever and poodle mixes) are also hypo allergenic.

Have you ever heard of a ratzzle? Its a Rat terrier crossed with a Jack Russel. I found a lost puppy and kept him until we found his owners. He was the cutest thing I thought about getting one. I wonder if the mix would shed like your rat terriers.
