In this global financial crisis, we are all encouraged to keep our powder dry. It is very important to have some savings so that we have some back up when emergencies arise. The problem is that I am not very good at saving money but I am good at spending them. I'm curious to know, how much do you save in a month? How do you save?

Hello, you can save if you want first you have to list what are the basic needs, if possible much better if you don't keep much money in your purse cause it can tempt you, i know you can control your desire. You can buy not branded ones.

I save around 10-20 % of my total income, with the exception of any online earnings I make, because online earnings are saved to 100 %. I wish I could save more, but it does not seem so easy at the moment. I think the most important thing for everyone is to get started with their savings. Even if you cannot save a lot, you need to save something!

I was able to save money a few months back but when I lost my job I had to use all of those up and so now I am starting with the money given to me during Christmas. Now I am aiming to save 20% of what I earn just so I can recover all the money I have saved up before. Hopefully in 6 months time I have enough for a 12 month emergency fund.
