Cheaters and Copiers in Ciao, ComparedBy.Us and other paid-to-review sites...

What can you say about them? Are you a member of these sites too? What do you think of your fellow members who don't abide to the rules and just copy off somebody else's reviews? Do you feel like they're cheaters or do you tolerate them?

I hate them a lot. They completely destroy the essence of those websites and they ruin other people's reputations by posting nasty remarks when they get criticized. I don't understand them at all. If they just want easy money, then I hope they don't enroll in a website that actually had good intentions in the first place.

I don't go as far as 'hating them' confused but I do report them when I come across them.. whistle

I don't often read others' reviews due to the limited time I spend on the site but whenever I do, I come across someone who has copied most of their review from another site; sometimes you can tell by just looking at the review that it may actually be from the actual product's site and sure enough when you google the text, it is copied from another site!

Some people need to understand that reviews are meant to be about your personal experience with the product and do not need to be 'spiced up' with all the 'technical know-how' of the product rolleyes Yes, some people want to know the technical aspects of the product sometimes like the camera but they do know it will come with operations instructions and a manual too and do not expect you to have all the product details from the companies' site which they could google anyway...

The reviews that also wind me up are those under 'Ciao Cafe' which are under a certain artist/musician and someone has written one or two songs of the artist and saying how they like them very much... list goes on and sometimes it is just easier to just write your reviews and move on as I will not rate for the sake of it..

Well, I do hate them especially when I've worked on something for days and they will blatantly copy my work, word for word. There are even some people who have the gall to say that I'm the one who copied them! How rude and annoying can they get? I guess we have different views on this because we come from different angles regarding the situation. I've been a victim, and I think you're just from the outside looking in...
