its 3 am and I cant seem to get to sleep  email this discussion to a friend?

I just cant seem to get to sleep. Im tired but cant seem to doze off. Im sure sitting in front of the computer is not helping but I got tired on laying in bed and getting frustrated at the fact that I was still awake. Any ideas of ways to cure insomnia?

well,it's 4 pm and i am feeling very energy. i eat some apples and cakes.

for you i think the most necessary for you to do is relax. you can play some soft/light music,get some cup of warm water,maybe with some milk it'll be better.

just try to get you away the mind of hard to fall asleep, get rid of the feeling of uneasy. i think it's better for falling asleep.

if not you can go and grab some boring books like course book and or other books out of your interests,i think you will wanna asleep doing that. that's what i do very often.

Hi!

Uhmm.. Yah, sitting in front of the computer is not a good idea.... As a nursing student before, I usually advice my patients to do one or two or all the following.

1. Drink warm glass of milk.
2. Take a warm bath. This will relax your muscles.
3. Put the lights of your room into dim. This will decrease visual stimuli.
4. Play your favorite mellow music or any music that seems lullaby to your ears.
5. Position self in a position of comfort. Just any lying position you feel comfortable of doing.
6. Try to not to think of what is bothering you.
7. Count sheep. Lol.
8. Close your eyes and sleep.

Hi bcote,
My best suggestion is to read. Eventually the eyes will get tired enough to fall asleep, hopefully. A few months back I did this very thing. I finally got up at 5:30 am and got on mylot. I was angry with my hubby so I really didn't want to go back to bed. Mylot gave me motivation to stay awake. It's quite the stimulator.
I just realized this was written 20 hrs. ago, I hope you were able to finally go to sleep.
