What do you look for in your cosmetics?

Ladies, I need your input!! I would like to know as a lady what you look for in your cosmetics. Do you use mineral makeup or liquid? Do you pay attention to what is in your cosmetics? Is is safe? How much do you pay for your foundation? How much is too much to pay for the foundation? Where are you most likely to purchase from a dept store like Dillards, drug store, or from someone who selld it private like Beautiful Diva Mineral Makeup or Mary Kay? Has the economy had an affect on what products you normally buy? I would love your input!! Thanks so much!!
