i dont know if it is a waste of time. but i guess it could be a possibility. if you chat and meet someone that is alot like you and compatible match then i am sure it could happen pretty easily.

I do not feel it to be a waste of time, but I do think it unlikely that you will make a true friend online. You can make some good friends and have a great time talking to them. However as you will most likely never know if they are at all the person they present themselves to be, I could never consider one a true friend I don't think. But I still enjoy talking to people online and learn alot this way. Mylot is really the first time for me to talk to people online much. I am really enjoying it though and think several people will likely turn into good firends on here.

I think net friends can be pretty good friends, not someone you can meet for lunch, but chances are good they will never tell people you care about knowing your secrets your secrets.

depends on it.i have many friends online and i can count only few of them.they realy nice person just like here in mylot some are nice even only nlne friends

It is not a waste of time, the people you meet online are real people, even though you do not get to see them everyday. Yes, a lot of them do not turn into the greatest friendships, but there are a lot of cool people out there that can become your best friends. I met my best friend, who is my boyfriend, online, we met with no intention of falling in love, it just happened. After we knew each other for a year he visited me in America for a month and we made our relationship official. Just last month I went over to Sweden for a month to see him, it was a lot of fun, we got to travel around Europe and it was one of the best times of my life. Right now we are actually booking a flight to the Bahamas together, it is one of the most worthwhile friendships I have ever had! Do not underestimate the power of the internet hehe, just be careful when meeting people, but keep an open mind. Happy mylotting and have a great day!

a net friend is a friend that we have find it in internet by chatting through Yahoo messanger or MSN etc, sometime we dont know them exactly, sometimes we get many friend from foreign country or local. we dont know them, because we dont see their face and we just known them when we are chatting, we dont know if they lie or tell the truth. sometimes we can find a good friend from chatting or cannot. i think chatting with net friend is not waste our time because we can make a new relationship. my boyfriend now is my net friend previously.
