what you could do is take the blades out of a razor and let him "use" that one, sounds like you wont have much luck in stopping him, but if you take the blades out of a razor so he has his own he can play with that might be ok. also if you get him some cheap shaving cream or something so he doesnt mess around with his dads

Thats what I would suggest along with taking your shaving items & lock them up in a cabinet or a tackel box or tool box. And then I would also monitor or ban him from watching you-tube if possible. As my DD has gotten into Wonder Woman & let me tell you they don't give an age rating and my DD has accidentally wondered onto "Wonder Woman" that wasn't um the Linda Carter Wonder Woman.

What first caught my attention about this discussion was Fred and Charlie the Unicorn. It's amazing to me how kids from other sides of the country can all be watching the same things on youtube! I mean there are millions of videos on there. My kids love those too.

Sounds like your hubby may have to hide his shaving stuff! Maybe a can of whipped cream might be more fun for your son too!

Yeah, I think I would put anything dangerous out of his reach...if he can reach shaving stuff, what else can he reach. Dangerous as it is...I guess if he was a girl, he would be messing with your makeup like my elder daughter did...LOL. I have photos to prove it.

Kids like experimenting with things that do capture their imagination and interest. My son was into bulbs and electrical equipment when he was young. I tried to put safety measures in electrical sockets to prevent him from playing with electricity when he was around three years old. Ithink explaining to them about the dangers does not work at this age (at least at 3 yrs of age). One has to remove any type of danger that they might be around our kids.

Just like I can never unsee Charlie, I can never unsee Fred. Not sure that's such a bad thing, though!*lol*

My daughter shaved her legs when she was about five and took a whole chunk out of her skin. She has now got a scar. It was my fault though for leaving my razor down low. Thank goodness they are teens now.

I am sure there is plastic ones available or take out the blades. Stick him in the bath with a bottle of cream and his plastic razor and let him play away. Maybe you should put the adults ones away up higher like I had to do. You can not watch them though. They get crafty.

Err, yikes yeah I think you get have a shave toy. You have to explain to him that he can get hurt with it and you're right you need to take all of those shavers away from his reach. Parents cannot risk their kids getting hurt. Just be careful than sorry!

Actually, you have an alternative. Would Richard consider using an electric shaver? They give a nice close shave and you can get rid of those dangerous razor blades. There's also a new item on the market I saw on TV.
