It seems that Michelle Obama is going to buy her girls new furniture from Pottery Barn in an effort to keep them grounded. I commend her for shopping at normal places for her kids. http://www.ajc.com/living/content/living/homeandgarden/stories/2009/02/02/obama_daughters_bedrooms.html?cxntlid=sldr_hm

Is Pottery Barn normal? I guess there are a lot of places that are more high end. I never heard of Pottery Barn until it was on Friends. Never been in one myself.

I never heard of it either until friends. LOL I looked it up on the web. The prices are reasonable. It's a mid priced store. It's a bit more expensive than IKEA, but not out of reach for a middle class person.

When a person becomes president everything he or his family does becomes news. I am not the least bit interested in this type of trivia. I would much rather prefer finding out what he is doing as president. Cheers!!!

Everything they do makes the news. In this case the not overspending on redecorating just because they can.

That's really great of her to do. We're all in a bind today and for her to basically respect that and not show off, I think is very rewarding. I also commend her for shopping at regular places that most people shop at today. Good for her, and in the long run, I'm sure it will make a big impact on her children for the future.

WE all are having to cut back these days. It will make an impact on the kids. They are getting there furniture from places that tons of other kids get theirs from and not from the overpriced high end designer stores.
