The other day we went to eat at waffle house and as we left I saw a twenty dollar bill. There was no one else around just us so obviously I couldnt return it to who it belonged to. I asked the employes if the money belonged to any of them and they said no finders keepers. Since there was no one to return the money to I went ahead and kept it. Did I do the right thing? What would you do if you would have found the twenty dollars?

I would probably keep it, if there is no name on that bill beside the man you the bill's picture is I guess you cannot do anything but keep it haha, because the next person that would have seen it would have kept it anyway. The bill might have been from someone's table, like a tip that could have fallen off to the ground. If that was a tip then their meal must have been really great! It is too late to really worry about it now though, so just take it as a gift of chance and put it aside for something good for yourself.

I found the twenty dollars outside the restaruant so it wasnt a tip. It was just sitting there on the ground. No other customers were in the parking lot or anything. We had gone and saw a maovie and stopped there for a bite to eat before going back home. The waitress said they hadnt been outside to take a break or anything.

Yea finders keepers... sometimes you never know people lie just to get the twenty dollar... once i found a twenty dollar bill on the floor...in the place where i worked.. so i asked the customer beside that if it was his... and he said oh yes.. thank you... so later.. i told my co worker about this.. and then after a few min ... when he checked his pocket he found that he was missing a twenty dollar.. must have fallen from his pocket when he was working.... and the customer had already left the restaurant... so you never know what kind of people are there in this world..
