My number came December 12, 2008, that was the last day of my employment. As of now I am without a job and now waiting for my unemployment insurance to kick in. As to what I am going to do I don't know because there are no jobs around here. The county I live in has the highest unemployment rate in this state. Everyday I look at the local newspaper they are announcing more job closing. I just do what I can and live one day at a time. I am to old to look for a job and not old enough for retirement, right now I am between a rock and a hard place. Pray for me because I need all the prayer and help I can get.

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. This is happening to way too many people these days! I really the hope the new administration in Washington is able to help turn things around. Good luck to you!

I am not very worried about losing my job. Our company will have some cuts this year but we also work on seniority and I am far from the bottom. It is tough on everyone and I know what it is like to work with people who know they will be losing their jobs soon. It makes it tough for everyone and very awkward.

I am worried and I would think that a lot of people are. These are crazy times we're living in. It doesn't seem like there are any guarantees, no matter what kind of job you have. It's depressing to watch the news and read about all of the companies who keep announcing that they're cutting more jobs. I just keep hoping that we're lucky and that both my husband and I will be able to keep our jobs!
