how do you deal with seasonal allergies?  

My son is also allergic, he's allergic to milk and dairy products, chicken, tomato, dust etc.. and also cold weather. We don't have snow here, but rainy season. His symptoms are the same like yours, when occur I always drink him with warm water, rub his chest with eucaliptus oil, give his nose the breathy drops. And if it doesn't help I have no choice but to give him aerius syrup as the doctor said.

I have allergies like yours, only I allergic to mold, pet fur and different types of pollen. The only thing I know to do for allergies besides the pills, is to get a humidifier to ease your breathing at night, you can use mint to help clear your nasal passages--bath and body works makes a nice aromatherapy mint body wash/bubble bath, if you were allergic to a pollen, they say eating honey from the area where what you are allergic too, helps. Also you could get a air purifier that would help clean the air your are breathing of the spores from the mold. Other than that, I say take the pills. I have been on Allergy medication all my life.

Seasonal allergies kick my butt if I don't take Clariton. I've been trying to find home remedies or herbal remedies that work as well, but I haven't found any. I don't like taking pills either, but I don't like going through these symptoms even more! LOL

I don't got seasonal allergies so no problem with it. BUt I new some person that got it, and they take sometimes medicine to help and they be patient when it's the big season of allergies ahha.They take care about it.

I think I have allergies year-long. I use a nasal spray that kind of helps. It's OTC. Another thing you could probably due is make sure your place is nearly dust free and vacuum frequently. Hope this helps.

I used to take Alavert for allergies. However, with my blood pressure meds I noticed it makes me loopy so I don't take it anymore. Generally I use homeopaths now. They are usually about the size of a baby aspirin and they dissolve under your tongue. Something highly reccomended is eating a teaspoon of honey from a local resource. It helps to desensitize you to the pollins and such in your area. Many people sware by it. However, I have sugar issues to so I instead do the homeopaths.
