Games kids play  

I agree to this. Kids nowadays would not play physically like hide and seek or something. I could remember right now when I was a kid I used to play hide and seek, japanese game, baseball, basketball, swimming, and other more. I enjoyed doing those stuff even when I got 18 years old. Computer games can make those kids unhealthy. Just like my brothers, they don't have any form of exercise. only exercise for their fingers by using a mouse or gamepad or joystick for a computer games. lols...

Partly, we older ones are to blame for letting the kids stay in front of the PCs and televisions for hours.

Kids game nowadays somewhat bothers me too. Without much exercise (and having too much from fast foods), how can the children have a good, strong body? And how can the children enhance their social skills when they do nothing but compete with machines in the PC? On the other hand, baseball, basketball, "tumbang-preso" and many outside games do teach us lessons on cooperation and team playing.

So, let's teach the children of our old games and let them enjoy these outdoor games with their friends.

I think youre correct most of the kids now a days are really more interested in playing computer games and it really lessen the imagination of the kids and it gives a low stamina,close to sickness because of low exercise. A children that do not make an exercise is a weak kid because he/she is not strong. And by the why there is a chance to a kids that they will become a addict when playing games,causes not to eat in the right time and even not to sleep in the right time too. That's really bad and there is still a chance that they will not study hard and will only prioritized the games in computer. . .

that's so true...in fact,that's so true that the answer to this problem is make video game consoles that encourage physical activity.Just look at nintendo wii...i think every kid i know that is not one of those hardcore gaming fans have one of these, they end up being more fun.And that's what curious!If kids find it more fun games with physical activity why don't they just go out and play like in the old days?is it because the streets aren't safe no more?at least in my country they still are...i just don't get it.I think kids should be more encouraged in school and by parents to partcipate in outdoor activities.Make you kids play soccer,have a band,dance ballet,swim...make them do something!it's like they said...it's more fun!

I think kids playing computer games does lessen their exercise, BUT I think it improves their imagination. For example, Garry's mod is a computer game, which you can do anything you want around. Its like a sandbox. You can create some trashcans, put people inside, then fly them to sky with some balloons, then pop them. Furthermore, games like GTA which you are set free to do what ever you want also improves their imagination, by creating something new, doing something really absurd, which is only limited by their imagination.

When I was a kid we'd play all the typical kids games outside like, hide & seek, tree climbing, roller skating, jump rope, chase each other, baseball, build a soap box car out of an old crate and some wheels from a broken wagon, bike riding and even build club houses and tree houses.

well.I think the best way is not to sit with the computer to play too long.its bad for our health,and we need to go out to play with some games or have a walk or for some excerises.
like you say about nowadays kids just like to play games with the computers.hmmm
i think that is why nowadays kids are fat......

I guess parents shouldn't let the kids stay long in front of the computer.. encourage them to play outdoor games(hide and sike, kite flying, capture the flag, red light, green light, obstacle course, freeze!, following the leader, fox and geese, jumping rope, four square, running, chasing and many more.. when i was a kid, i used to play cool outdoor games with my brother.. it was fun as i got to interact with other kids in our neighborhood..

depends to what extent the kids play. if they play like hours on end then yeah it makes a huge difference. but if it is like to just blow some steam after an exam or something then its just relaxing also depending on how much the person gets in the game. i play to just blow off some steam. i dont think it is lessening my imagination in any way or making me less interactive with people.

As a teenager yeasr ago, I like to play the game on playstation. Tony hawk pro skater was used to be my favorite.
