Do you have a Compaq Computer?

Hi,whiteheather I am having a problem with mind already because I don't know how to work it. can you read what I told the other person here, maybe you can help me out to please. I am waiting for an answer from either one of you. Thank you in advance!

I am having a problem with mind, maybe because I don't know alot about my new computer, I must read the Manual for it. Tell me this? I went away for a couple of hours and I left the screen on, with the programs. when I came back my my computer was not showing the screen usually where the power button is it shows a green light, so when I came back to my computer the light was a different clor like a gold color, Whhy does it do this? I suppose because there is no activity going on for a few hours. but I guess I will half to shut down my computer untill I come back to get on it? can you tell me what I should do when this happens?

It sounds like it went into hybernation mode. Did you try restarting your computer?

Well when you charging the laptop then the Goldlen light will blink or show to your laptop but when bettery is full charges then it convert in to the green colour.. or vice versa.. Hope you understand that..

I heard Fujitsu laptops are pretty decent.

It sounds like you needed to restart since it may have gone into hybernation mode. Has it done it anymore? Its hard to know since, I dont have any way to review your maual.Maybe calling the toll free service helpline would be good. Have a tech on the phone with you to walk you through it?

I am also very happy with my Compaq and I agree that it probably went into hibernation. When I go out or away for a while I just put mine in low power mode so when I return I do not have to restart just click the mouse.

Marcia you need to take the time read user manual. This is not my first Compaq but I still read the manual as a I do not want to screw it up! I honestly do not understand how people can get any type of electronic or appliance and not read the manual.

Hi Lordwarwizard, Nice to hear from you. you are the only person that said Compaq Computer is lousy, I hate to here that. well I do have a warranty for it. Why would it break down? that disturbs me?

For the most part it has been a good pc. I think since HP and Compaq merged, they are better pc's. Just be sure to keep a good virus protection. Avast is a good one and it's free.

I have Norton, should I use to different ones, I hear you should only use one Antivirus.

Yeah, you should only use one antivirus. Go ahead and use Norton now, but when it expires, remove it and download avast.

I had a Emachine and I really got my money worth out of it, it broke down reasonly, I have had it since 1998 so I got my moneies worth out of it. Thanks for responding.
