Prefer bare floor or with carpet

We have ceramic tiles in the hallway and kitchen, carpet in the living room and on the stairs and two bedrooms. The landing, bathroom and one bedroom has laminate flooring.

I prefer a bedroom without carpet because it can harbour dust mites and I have asthma. The plain floors are easy to clean with a mop or Swifter and the living room, stairs and bedrooms don't take long to vaccuum. Mind you, there are usually only two in the house!

I have an apartment, and I have carpet onmy floor, I like carpet better than a bare floor because the floor this time of year is warm, in the summber it's cool, I don't walk around in my bare feet, I always have slippers on my feet, I don't like to get my stock dirt, but if they do bet dirty I just wash them, and add bleach to the water to get them clean again.

I have a wooden floor that is laminate flooring and it is in all my rooms except my bathroom, shower room and stairs. In those I have lino in the wet areas and carpet on my stairs. I like the fact that I can wash the floor easily and mop up anything that gets spilled. I feel it is better for my allergies to limit the carpet in m house. I wear shoes so I don't feel the coldness on my feet.

I don't like carpet because it upsets my allergies and can be challenging to keep clean. In the past patterned carpers were popular however plain carpets are these days. Those plain carpets, especially light colors get marks on them and then look unclean. I have laminate that looks like wood and lino in my wet rooms. The only carpet I have is on my stairs to make it quiet for footsteps going up there. I think with a toddler's buggy and dogs walking in and out a bare floor is perfect. I love having something that is so delightfully easy to keep clean.

Hello mjanne. Our apartment is tile floor. We don't like to use carpet floor as it is not easy to make it clean though it feels warmer to have carpet floor. We mop our tile floor every day and I love to mopping job as it is considered a way of doing exercise. Take care.

I have a preference for bare floor...As you say, it's easy to clean the bare floor. And the more important thing is that the carpet would carry bacteria which will do harm to our health...I think you could take other meaures to keep warn, such as air-conditioner...

I have hard wood floor in my flat. as you said it's easy to clean. In winter to keep heat i also put my carpet on the floor, so i can get a warm winter.

So if you choose to manage your floor in different seasons like i have done,at least you will have less need to clean carpet.

Also i use vaccum almost everyday in winter so my carpet can keep clean longer.
