This is Heart Disease Awareness Day | | Take this from a 43-year-old man in love with his beautiful wife. Listen to your bodies, ladies. Shortness of breath, or a stomach ache may be the only symptoms you ever get of a silent killer, that kills one woman every minute. I was surprised that the #1 killer of women is heart disease. If you even think something's wrong, go to a doc. I even heard on TV of one woman 31 who had a heart attack. My mom found herself out of breath alot. She had a heart exam, they found nothing. But then they checked her lungs. Sure enough they found lung cancer. The cancer was caught before it might have spreaded. In that kind of cancer, if it has moved anywhere, it's pretty much too late. Women--any thoughts on this? Are you surprised as I was? I had always thought the #1 killer of women was cancer!

The reason I say that is, if you are very old they don't just consider you to die of natural causes anymore. They have to have a source. And really, if you heart stops when you are 78, then I guess they are going to call it heart disease.
As far as younger people go, yes 31 is young to have heart failure. My friend at age 37, doesn't smoke and doesn't drink excessively, stays pretty fit but not an over exerciser either. She had to have heart surgery last year. Now that was scary, especially since she was so young and had two teenage sons. Everyone else that was in with her for the same thing was old, overweight, or a heavy smoker. Sad for her.
I guess this just goes to show that we need to live our life to the fullest, because you never know what tomorrow may hold!!!
