Which side your family closed, mother side or father side..?

I know a lot of family members who are not closed with their both sides, I mean, the children are closed with their mother-side relatives than their father-side or the other way around. Perhaps for some other reasonable reasons.
On our family, we are closed with the side of our father because they are just living the other town next to us. Unlike with the side of our mother they living too far from us.
How about you guys, which side of your parents you are closed? Mother side or at your father side...?

Are you asking how close in distance is the family from either the mother or father's side? I'll be honest in saying i'm not sure. I live with my fiance in another county and I've not been in touch with my father's side for quite some time. So going by just my mother's side in relation to where we live, I'd say that we are not too far away from them.
Now if you are talking in relation to being friendly and family - like, I'd have to say that I am closer to my mom's side.
