Why do girls get irate before their period?

Hi, donsky. It's quite normal for girls to have bad temper during their period time. This is because of the hormone change in our body. So, just take it easy. Before pregnancy, i don't really have bad temper during my period time. But after i get pregnant, i can say that my mood swings all the time. I think the hormone really plays an important role on this matter. I hope i don't drive my husband crazy about this. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

In theory, our hormones just shoot up and that's the factor that gives us mood swings, short tempers, boobs and a menstrual period. In practice, yes--I have a thing for getting annoyed easier than usual when I get scolded at days before my period. But I've learned how to keep those hormones down and just shut up if that happens.

i think it has to do with hormones.but what irritates me most is that whenever i get annoyed or upset with my hubby,he puts it on pre-menstrual syndrome.. happy posting.

I think it's because of the hormonal imbalance we experience. For one, I think I have a slight headache and the uncomfortable feeling makes it easier for me to get annoyed. I also become very short tempered before my period and I find that annoying because I feel like I'm overreacting at times. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Hi donsky! I usually start becoming a little "short" a week before I start. When I start..it's actually kind of a relief..I'm not near as grumpy. I usually very easy going and laid back but that week before I definately feel different. I do think it's the hormone thing that everyone is mentioning. I know that when I was younger it wasn't an issue at all.
