which programming language to start with?  | | i have always been drawn to programming from the day we took it at school where we took quick baaic which is ancient and as the name implies pretty easy and i wanted more so i started reading about python but it isn't as mainstream as other languages even thought it has tols to connect it with them. And there are so many choices so which one is the best to start with?

Once, you more or less understand C, it will be easy to learn more advance programming language such as C++, Java, or C#. These are widely used programming languages nowadays. Many applications are created in these language. C is also a good starting point if you want to learn a lower-level programming language that interact with hardware.

masata (372) | 11 months ago | You may want to buy any book like "introduction to C programming" etc. I guess there are many. You may try to google it. For example you can find the following website when you google it

Compiler-wise, you can use any Borland C++, Microsoft Visual C++, or just install it in the Unix system. I frequently use the Unix system, it has less graphical interface but the command line is pretty easy to use.
