When God opened my womb...my testimony

Hi all! I had been struggling with PCOS and getting pregnant seemed like an impossible dream. In the middle of 2008, I started feeling strange. I told my husband about it, but he replied that I always feel weird. We have tested for pregnancy so many times before based on my weird feelings and super delayed monthly period, but nothing happened. So we were sort of used to the disappointment already. So I brushed the symptoms off until one day I finally decided to take a pregnancy test because the weird symptoms continued. But before that, I told God, "Lord whatever happens, whatever the results, I will still praise You." Needless to say, the test came out positive. It was hard to believe at first (I know we have been waiting and waiting but it was quite difficult to accept the good news at first). When I sent a text message to my husband who was in a different c ity at that time, he too could not believe the good news. He told me to get second opinion—either a blood HCG test or an ultrasound. I opted for the latter. And indeed I am pregnant, just a wee bit early for ultrasound at 5 weeks because no fetal pole can yet be seen. But indeed something was developing inside of me and the doctor confirmed that a fetus is forming. We had to have a follow up ultrasound four weeks later just for confirmation. Nevertheless, there was unending praising not only from my husband and myself, but also our families and friends who had been praying for us. God is indeed mysterious, He has His ways. I came upon Psalm 113:9 and when I read it, I nodded vigorously in agreement because indeed it is God who settles the barren woman in her home and makes her a mom. I am pretty sure that this story has a purpose and my sharing this would bring hope to other women who have similar or even worse fertility problems. God is sovereign and the Creator of all. And nothing is impossible for Him—not even opening the womb of a barren woman. This is my story of having PCOS and having faith at the same time. And God opened my womb. I hope you are blessed. Take care all and God bless you! Happy mylotting! :D

Congratulations to you and your husband. I too have been trying to conceive for 14 months now but still unsuccessful. I know God's plan is way much better than mine so I leave it all up to HIM. But of course, I continually pray that HE bless us even just one child. Take care and I hope you'll be healthy all the way.

Congratulations to you and your husband. I have PCOS and Infertilty. I didn't know I had it until my husband and I tried to get pregnant this last time. We had trouble conceiving our first child too. I had bought a fertility monitor and never tested above being moderately fertile. When I went to my yearly appt I told this to my Dr. She put me on Clomid. After three months of Clomid I was pregnant. We got pregnant a second time, on our own, but that ended in miscarriage in 2004. AFter this we decided to wait to try again. We decided to try again in 2006/2007. We tried and tried. The emotional ups and downs were very hard to deal with. After six months of nothing my Dr sent me for some tests. This is when I was diagnosed with PCOS. I was put on clomid again. I was on two doses for six months. Clomid was not working. I was sent to a Reproductive Endocrinologist (Fertility Specialist). It only took us a week to get in for a consultation appt. Our papers and history were thoroughly reviewed. The Dr asked more questions and then came up with a treatment plan. I was put on Metformin and Femara. I had to go for certain tests on certain days of my cycle to see if I was responding to the meds. I was. My follicles were growing. One of the tests I had to have was a Hysterosalpinogram to see if I had any blockages in my tubes. This was negative. I was getting low on the Metformin and Femara and was planning on refilling it. Part of my plan was I needed to have a pregnancy test done and have the results before I had the meds refilled. The specialists had their own lab that is open certain hours everyday. So I went to the lab on a Sat to have the test. The Dr. called me on a Sunday to let me know I was pregnant. I was so happy. I cried I was so relieved. Finally. I was very impressed with this Dr. He called me on a Sunday before he left to go on vacation. Plus Thanksgiving was in a few days. I gave birth to twin boys. I thank God everyday for my three children.

Hi Blessed one! Do you mind if I ask how old you are now? I got married in 2002 when I was about to turn 40. Two years after that my ob said i have PCOS. I am now 46, barren, but God is so good He gave me a very loving and supportive husband who still married me even when i told him i have multiple sclerosis and the possibility of me getting paralyzed again...
