Okay fellow mylotters...  | |  How many of you have heard of Primerica, the MLM that brings people in to make money by counseling families and helping them with their financial stewardship skills?
You have an upline, you are able to work your way up by helping others become financial counselors under you, and then they in term will help others.
My wife calls that a "Ponzi scheme." Do you agree? What actually is a Ponzi scheme?

| | | | | | 1.  jayyerex (231) | 9 months ago |  I was a Primerica rep for about two years. It is ligitimate. There are many people out there that make quite a good living at it. I was not one of those people. It takes a lot of work and even more faith. They have a good ethic about them. Most of the reps that I met and worked with were good people and they honestly had the best interest at heart. Not only that but you need to keep up on your life insurance certifications, securities license and course hours to maintain your license. They make it all sound really great but in my view it is a really tough racket to be in. Unless you have some kind of advertising budget you will end up relying on your friends and family to kick start your business. Sounds like fun doesn't it?
As far as the Ponzi scheme goes I think you are refering to a pyramid scheme. Primerica is not a Pyramid scheme. They offer a service and product and therefore cannot be considered illegal in any way. Besides that they are monitored by the insurance industry and securities council. Any illegal activity and they would be shut down in a heart beat. So there you go, everything you ever wanted to know about Primerica in a nutshell.

It was going to take me getting all of my insurance and securities licenses before I could start making money. I wasn't passionate about it, so I didn't invest in it. Yes, you have to pay for all of your licenses and testing (which is not cheap)
I'm glad I didn't go with Primerica because my wife and I are now stay at home parents because of this opportunity http://irish4evermore.myw... of what you do, be passionate about it and you'll do fine.

I am glad you did find something that worked for you.
I do not see things as they are as where I want to be come 2014. So I would like to see something outside of what we are doing now happen.
The biggest thing I loved about being part of Amway was the functions. I do love to travel, and do love to take overnight trips. I enjoyed my trips to Toledo, Ohio, to listen to different people who made it in the Amway business speak...I think Bo Short and Casey Combden were among my favourite speakers as well as Dex and Birdie Yager.
But back to Primerica--I've heard alot about it. Several of our friends have taken part in that. | |
