Are you doing anything special for Valentine's Day?

Valentine Heart - A heart with an arrow is a sign of love or Valentines Day

Every year on February 14th a large population of the World celebrates Valentines Day. It is a day that is meant for showing your sweet heart just how much they mean to you. Many people give gifts such as cards, chocolates, flowers or jewelry and many people either cook a special meal for that special someone in their life or take that special someone out for a nice meal or many other inventive ideas. Are you one of those people that do something special for the one that you love or do you think that Valentines Day is just another commercial holiday to get the consumer to pay for things that they normally not buy? You know by the way, doing something special for that loved one does not have to cost a lot of money, if you happen not to be able to spend extra money on cards etc. Doing Anything special for the special one in your life will do. If you can not afford to buy them something, then do some little thing around the house for them that they would otherwise have to do themselvles, or go out just the two of you and take a romantic stroll around the park etc. Having said that, does this give you any ideas? Do you plan on doing something special for that special someone or is it going to be a day just like any other? Personally I do not believe that you ever need to have a special day to do something special for someone, I find it's the little things when you least expect it that you do all through the year makes someone feel much more special than on a day you Have to do something. And if you don't have someone special in your life, then please respond to this also and let me know what you plan on doing Or how it makes you feel when this day for Lovers rolls around every year! ?;)

Well I don't have anyone in my life...uh, save for my very handsome male black kitty Pyewacket and Kissy..LOL But just cause I'm alone doesn't mean I don't celebrate Valentine's Day....I bought myself a large box of chocolates and a few nice cards for myself. Also, I plan to fix a nice special dinner for myself tomorrow. Don't you think it's just as important to love oneself and to be kind to oneself as any "lover"???

Hi Pye! I definitely think that one should celebrate Valentine's Day pampering oneself if there is no one, particular person in your life, and I LOVE your ideas! Cards, chocolates, and a special dinner should be perfect for loving oneself! I only wish more people felt that way rather than being so needy and have to have someone...Anyone, on a day like today! The same is true for New Year's Eve...so many people feel that they have to have Someone to kiss at midnight or their life isn't worth living...doesn't matter who, even if it is a frog! By the way, I wouldn't be surprised if Pyewacket and Kissy sent you a couple of cards and I would think they would like to share a very special dinner with you!! Congratulations to you for feeling this way, you certainly do not hear of it often! ;) And from me? Happy Valentine's Day Pyewacket, Pyewacket & Kissy! (sounds a bit like a law firm doesn't it)? By the way, I just left you a message at another place and I was really happy to see you there...felt good to have an old friend there! ;)

On this special day I will spent it with my family ( hubby and kids). For me valentine's day is the the day for only couples is a day for the one we love. So usually I will spend my valentine's day with the ones I love.

Hi Lynnchua! I think it's great that you involve your children in your Valentine's Day celebration. They may not be a part of your "couple" but you love them very much anyway and you created them as a "couple" so why not share the day with them instead of pawning them off to a baby sitter. After all, there is plenty of time to spend as a "couple" After they go to bed!

Love is a great feeling which has to be expressed. If you find it true, never fail to convey, thats a tribute to the love in real.
