 We went to Atlantic City yesterday and came home today. We didn't win, but we had a great time. I play craps and the dice were not friendly at all. I'm not confident enough to play the Don't Pass, so I kept looking for a table that was doing well. I never found it, although I did have a few times where I was able to play for a while on a "little bit" of money.
Do you go to have fun or to win? Do you get upset when you don't win or do you just have a good time anyway?

were coming back so soon. Did you meet up with your Mom?
I never played craps, I don't know anything about the game.
I only went to AC once and played the slots. I would love to
go again. Not a big gambler. Just like to go to play a bit
and walk on the board walk and hang out. Maybe this summer
if possible me and Lonnie can try to go. But, we'd have to
take the bus there and back since we don't have a car. There
are busses that leave right from neighborhood so it's real
convenient!

| 2. uicbear (1562) | 11 months ago |  It's a bummer that you didn't win, I was really rooting for you. i have been so wanting to go play some blackjack, but I am strapped for cash right now, so it's not a option. You gotta have that money you can say goodbye to. Saying that, I see gambling as a form of entertainment. But, it"s definately more fun when you win. What's even more fun is when you can find a table that everyone is winning. I think craps is a great game for that type of comradery. With blackjack, so many times theres only 1 or 2 people hitting it lucky, but evey once in a while it seems like the cards fall just right and all is well with the world. That's fun!
Did your friends end up joining you? Did you get 2 rooms, or just 2 beds? Are you already planning your next trip?

| reinydawn (4236) | 11 months ago | It was just me and my husband, although we did see my mom a few times over the weekend. The craps tables were pretty dead, it would have been nice to get someone with a good roll going on. My mom mostly plays slots and she said it was about the same for her.

And then I don't manage my money well. i don't have a strategy I just keep playing until my chips are gone. So when I go to Vegas I don''t go to the casinos. I like looking around and taking in the scene.:)

| 4. koalatbs (568) | 11 months ago |  Hi reinydawn - I've never been to Atlantic City before. I'm glad you had a fun time there! Up until last year, I'd never ever been to a casino in my life. Now I live in VA but up until this past summer my husband, son & I lived in CA for 2 years. One weekend my husband & I just wanted to get away & we ended up in Reno. It was a lot of fun. We did some sight seeing around the area and had a great time. It was nice & relaxing. We didn't go to any of the downtown area casinos but our hotel had a big casino in it of course so we dabbled there a little with what "little" money we had to spare. LoL! We only messed around with the slots but it was fun. I can see how it could get addicting though. Almost glad we didn't have too much money available! I didn't pay attention to how much we spent or won but I know we lost more money than we spent. I've never heard of "Don't Pass"... what is that?

| reinydawn (4236) | 11 months ago | "Don't Pass" is the bet on the craps table that the 7 will come out before the other numbers. Most people don't play that because it's like betting "against" the dice since you usually DON'T want the 7. It's also a bit more expensive, but when the dice are "cold" like they were, you can win pretty big. | |

i am glad to hear that you had a good time when you were away to Atlantic City. and i am so sorry to hear that you didn't win anything. it is always nice to get away thou, isn't it? and i go to the Casino to have fun and relax and get away from it all, and if i win something while i might happen to be playing the slots, then whoo hoo! i won something. lol if not, then i had a blast getting away from my house for a day and hopefully for overnight. it is always good to get away and it is always good to be back home. thanks for letting us all know around here at Mylot that you made it back home safely.

| 6. suzzy3 (3995) | 11 months ago |  Glad to hear you have had a good time.I don't gamble only on the lotto.I can understand why people like a flutter.If you gamble and lose it is no good getting angry with anyone.Surely it is part of gambling the good with the bad.If you cannot afford to lose it then do not gamble,me I would rather have something new to wear or treat the kids with spare money,but hey each to their own,what ever floats your boat.
