In computing, timestamp is a log of the current time a certain event or process happened. For example, the time I made this reply is 1:25AM GMT. A corresponding timestamp could be 20090216_012567. That's DateToday_CurrentTime.
There are also other ways to represent a timestamp. The one I showed you is just an example.
