We spent Friday the 13th eating dinner and watching a movie afterwards. King St. in Alexandria, VA is a haven for restaurants. I think there is something for everyone. For that day, we decided to try Cafe Salsa. A Nuevo-Latino restaurant that offers food that are new to my taste! LOL. It was the first time that I tried this kind of food. And so far, I liked what I tasted. The flavors are new to my taste but delicious nonetheless. After, we went across the street to Old Town Theater to watch a movie. It was one of those theaters turned into a movie theater when staging theaters at the area was not in fashion anymore. The ticket for the movie was cheap compared to other theaters but you are "required" to buy a drink with the ticket. No exemptions. Ridiculous but I guess that is where they earn more. You have to give the marketing person credit for thinking of that move. The movie was not that great- I fell asleep towards the end. Generally, I enjoyed the evening though. It was great spending it with friends. King Street in Alexandria is a cool place to hang out. Not so many crowds but not dull either.

Hi, bubblyapple. This sounds like so much of fun. I have never visited a place as this. I am glad that you have enjoyed yourself.
I wished that I could travel out of town sometimes. It is so much of fun when you can hang out and go places that are fun together.
