I sooooo want this DVD set, and I'm going to get myself one, as soon as I've saved the money. Not only do I love the show, but I happen to think that Robert Stack has one of the greatest voices out there!!! I didn't ever get into the new Unsolved Mysteries, for the same reason that I never liked the new 007 movies. For me 007 is Sean Connery, and for me the host of Unsolved Mysteries is Robert Stack! Anyone else have this set?

I used to watch the show as well and I have to agree with you only Robert Stack is the man for that job, no one will ever take his place. It's like Bob Barker now that he's gone so has my interest for Price is Right. I do not have this DVD set but it would be nice that is for sure. Thank You for your post and Take Care.

Oh yeah! I hadn't thought of Bob Barker. I hadn't thought of the price is right in a while, either. I guess that's one more show I'll never watch again, now that the original isn't hosting it.
I wonder how many people stopped watching The Tonight Show when Johnny Carson stopped hosting it.

Funny you'd mention Johnny Carson, I liked him but oh man do I dislike Jay Leno, I flip the television over real fast when he comes on. Some changes were OK. I think there was no one better than Art Linkletter "Kids say the darnest things" but I don't mind Bill Cosby he did a fairly decent job there. Thanks again.

Creeped out by Robert Stack? ROFLMAO I think he had the most SOOTHING voice in the world! I have very sensitive hearing, and there was a lot of YELLING in my home, when I was a child (parents always fighting). Robert Stack had the kind of voice that I could TURN UP FULL BLAST to drown out the screaming, and his voice didn't split my eardrums either. Creeped out? it was creepier in the house WITHOUT him. LOL

No, I don't have the set but I agree with your about Robert Stack. He has an excellent voice. Also, there will never be a James Bond like Sean Connery. I know he had a Scottish accent but I think that added to the charm, and some of the more recent actors who played the part, were a bit namby-pamby in comparison. Sean Connery was more the rugged type, and oh, those brown eyes!!!
Brightest Blessings.

No but I'm sure that my mom would love to have it. She always loved that show when Robert Stack was the host.
