Are you the owner, or is it your pet?

(Confessions of a dog slave) Doesn't it seem to you that you're doing what they want? Like playing ball. Are they really fetching, or are you being used to throw? I think I'm being used. My daughter's dog throws his ball at me, or makes me find it. He will hide it and force me to go looking for it, or else continue to bug me with digging at things that fall over.
Do they go to work to earn money? Or are we the ones doing it? Aren't we putting food in their bowl, not the other way around? They live a life of ease, with toys to destroy, food when they want it, a bed to lay on (usually yours). We have to go out to earn the money to get all these things. So who really owns who?
What do you think?

There's no doubt at all who's the beauty, brains and in charge, in my house.
It's not me.
Spunky (my dog) wants a crown for her birthday in July. She'll get it..........

Well, she did watch out for you when you were umm--having the hiccups... So I'd say she deserves it. (Or else she'll tattle on you when she can)

We might own them, but I'm getting tired of fetching that darn ball. While I'm sitting in here typing, he's stuffing that thing where it ain't supposed to go! And I gotta dig it out, or he will. That means a lot of stuff will come tumbling down. So while I might own him, I'm still fetching!

Very true. These two little dogs don't eat very much. But the big old dog goes through a LOT of food. (He's a fattie from a few years back when he broke a door open to eat an entire bag of cat food. He never lost that pudge.)

Humans are slaves around here. Dog tells us when to feed her, when to play and when to answer the door. Cats tell us when to feed them, when to go to bed and when to get up. Llamas tell us when to feed them and which one to feed first. They have a pecking order. Yes our lives are ordered by animals

HI there
[b]ha ha ha.....very very true,,,, sometimes i wonder whether i got my dogs to guard me or me to guard them...They shout at us when they want to go out for walking and during walking they just pull us and take us where they want to go.... And in the morning they wake up really early and start whinning ,forcing me to wake up early for their walk,,,, And what about their Bathing , Grooming,,, ohh,,, I think its best to be a DOG ,,, maybe we can end up in some celebs lap..enjoying all the attention while being celebs ourselves
.. he he he...

Cheers!!!!

Too, too true! My dog has started herding me towards the bedroom. I've been staying up later than usual, and he isn't allowed on the bed if I'm not there. So I get herded so he can go to bed. (it's not my fault he's so cuddly it's like having a live teddy bear next to me.)
