What is a warez forum?  |

 I've been browsing some PTP forums and one of the posts was about a site that pays you to upload files (like ziddu, uploading, uploadbox etc.) So there was one member who said that they were having trouble getting downloads and another member replied saying that they should sign up for a warez forum, and that they get 100,000 downloads a day from their posts in that forum! So I really want to join something like that and so I went and looked up warez and it says warez is a term used by software pirates to describe software that has been stripped off its copy-protection and made available on the internet for downloading. It also says that use of warez software is illegal and may result in jail sentence. I really want to get quick downloads but I don't want to do it illegally. is warez forums the same as warez? And are any mylotters members of it? Are they illegal?

1.  iakulchen (454) | 10 months ago | Well, you have the official definition of warez there. To put it in layman's terms, warez is software that is being distributed illegally. Warez forums are forums where members can request for an/or upload a copy of said software. It would be more accurate to say that warez forums are forums where members can exchange pirated software. Since you have already stated that it is illegal, I seriously doubt anyone who's a member of a warez forum is going to just come out and say that he or she belongs to one. | |

File sharing sites like Rapidshare do not allow warez so you will get an idea of its legality. I think warez forums talk about warez which I believe is illegal. Hope I could help! Happy mylotting!

The only problem with this is that it is illegal to download anything you want for free, which means it is also illegal for uploaders to upload anything that they don't own the copyrights to.
